The Shrine of Sithis of Deepscorn Hollow is the only shrine to Sithis in the game. Assuming you mean at the shrine of Deepscorn Hollow. In oblivion on Xbox 360 how to you use the ichor basin? You will fill the basin and activate the shrine. Deepscorn Hollow (Vile Lair) Makeover - posted in Oblivion Mod Requests: I just replied to a similar buried thread that I found venturing deep in the. The shrine of Sithis looks too hastily thrown together, and though that could remain as the default look like the previous owner left it, but why can't you. Step 2- Go to the Live blade on the dashboard and select Xbox Live Marketplace Step 3- Click All Downloads for all games (first choice) Step 4- When the list of games comes up, scroll to the O's for Oblivion Step 5- Select the content you want to download Step 6- Confirm Download and wait for it to finish. The Orrery is a locked door in the Arch-Mages lobby in the Arcane University. They need you to recover the missing parts. There are 5 camps. Head to the marker and kill the bandits and loot there bodies. There will be a message telling where the other parts are and a Dwarven Part. The Dwarven parts are what is needed. Also the bandits have some nice magic items, (or they did when I did the quest.) Travel around to all 5 of the camps and kill the bandits taking the parts and the great items. When all is over return to the Arch-Mage to receive around 700 gold. The next day the Orrery is finished and you may enter it. It is quite snazzy except for the annoying noise. Activate it to get a special power. You can only have 1 power at a time and they are good but not the best. The quest is fun and makes cash but almost useless once over. It adds maybe 30 minutes to the game and probably isn't worth the money. But it is good if you like spells and need some money or nice items. You make the decision. ******************************************************************************* * The Vile Lair ******************************************************************************* * 5/5 (4.5/5 if not a vampire) 150 MS Points Reward- Nice home, rare flowers, and a dark minion 2 VERY IMPORTANT NOTES: 1. After getting rid of vampirism, you cannot become one again. Sleeping in the coffin in the bed makes you a vampire. The Vile Lair is indeed a great add on to Oblivion. It is Deepscorn Hollow and the lowest point on the entire map. It is a home for all the creatures of the night and even those who aren't. It was the home of the infamous vampire Greywynd Bloodworth. It rewards you with is home although it is worth almost nothing until your wallet hurts. You must buy the rooms in the house. The door may be a little hard to spot considering it is underwater, but once this baby is full she is a great place to make potions, eat, sleep, read, all of those things. When you enter look to the right and read Greywyns Journal to get a journal update. It takes about 20,000 gold to buy it all. But if you've finished some guilds, the arena, and The Thieves Den, you will pay it off soon enough. Fast travel to the Waynet Inn west of the Imperial City. Go upstairs between 9:00 A.M and 9:00 P.M and speak to Rowly Eardolf or something. He sells the items. When you buy it, it magically appears at the lair. The set includes. (note, prices depend upon the mans disposition and your mercantile skill.( Cattle Cell 3,000 gold- May a prisoner lay in silence. You may feed on him as you wish. He also can be hit with swords and spells to raise attributes although hitting him with a sword breaks it very quickly. No more crimes for feeding. Location- Enter then go through the door on the left. Go straight then turn left and find the prisoner. Dark Minion 3,000 gold- A dark man to go kill and take there items. He normally doesn't return with much. Like 100 gold and a rare item is the best I've got so far. To make him come back walk into the door to the left of the entrance or right across the hall of the minions lair. It takes time to get him to come back and a message will appear saying he has returned. He can also fail is task and make the trip pointless. Location- Normally in the room on the right of the entrance which is where he sleeps. All the earnings will be placed in the chest in the room. Garden 3,000 gold- Without the garden the first room is nothing but a big log, but after buying the garden you get a good 30 species of poisonous plants. Mix them together then poison weapons and bows. Location- Entrance room. Storage- A lot of storage with crates and barrels etc. Also in the back right behind some crates is a chest with some poisons called 'Greywyn's Poison Supply' Location- Enter and turn left but don't walk through the door. Walk forward then turn left again. Basically directly to the left of the entrance if you are facing the garden. Dining 3,000 gold- This is almost pointless. Just a little table with some utensils and some food. Almost worth nothing. Buy this last. Location- Turn left and go through the door at the entrance. Turn right there and go down the starirs. Go through the door and the dining is in the middle of that room. Study 3,000 gold- Just a bunch of books and if you like reading then you will enjoy this. If you are like me and reading in this game means nothing it is like the dining room, almost pointless. Location- In the room with the dining table, continue and turn left to enter study room. Bedroom 3,000 gold- This is a coffin leaning against the wall. Vampire or not you can sleep in it but the real treasures are in the room. Rare ingredients the do respawn. Including Nirnroots and Minotaur Horns. There are also other things in the room that can be checked out. Location- Across the hall from the study. Shrine of Sithis 5,000 gold- The shrine is there from the start, but can't be activated until a special potion is purchased. It works like other shrines. Cures diseases and attribute and adds to some attributes for 1,200 seconds. Location- Door at the end of the hall in the dining room. Font of Renewal Free- Pretty much the only free thing here. It cures you of your vampirism instantly without a long quest. It requires Purgeblood salts but they can be found in a pod in the room. Location- Turn left and go through the door. Turn right then go in the water to activate it. There are other secrets. There are atleast 4 caches full of goodies that Grewyn left us. In the NNW corner of the garden (entrance room). To find a bag filled with stones, gems, jewelry and gold called Greywyn's 1st Cache. In the font of renewal, check the water around the statue to find a bag filled with gold, gems, jewelry and stones. It is Greywyn's 2nd cache. In the cattle cell, as soon as you enter it turn left to find a fruit bowl. Cast a light spell or just look around until you find a bag called Greywyns 3rd cache. Final- In the Shrine of Sithis, go until you see the ledge with the waterfall. Search the ledge to find a bag called Greywyns final cache. Last Secrets- On the shrine of sithis is a little box. Open it to find a magic dagger. In the first room, a bucket is hanging in the center. Hit is for a few gold pieces to come out. This can be done multiple times but you must wait a little. You only get like 2 gold though because it is hard to track it all. To find in my opinion the best armor you can find, complete the entire lair including the Ichor of Sithis. Go to the bedroom and there should be a new storage container next to the drawers. Look in it to find the Raiment of the Crimson Scar. Crimson Eviscerator (dagger in Shrine) Blade- One hand Absorb Strength 3 points for 5 sec on strike Damage Health 5 points on strike Damage Magicka 5 points on strike Weakness to poison 5% on strike Charge of 660 Base Value- 280 gp Weight- 2 lbs. Damage at 100%- 6 Raiment of the Crimson Scar (armor in bedroom Light Armor Fortify Agility 5 points on self Fortify Speed 5 points on self Fortify Sneak 8 points on self Fortify Marksman 8 points on self Fortify Blade 8 points on self Reflect damage 15% on self That's about it. This is a great update and vampires should defiantly get it. After a while, if you combine the bucket, minion, caches, and other goodies, it can pay for itself although it will take a while. If you are a vampire buy the rooms in this order. Cattle Cell 2. Dark Minion 3. Dining room If you aren't a vamp buy. Dark Minion 2. Cattle Cell 6. Dining room ******************************************************************************* * The Wizards Tower ******************************************************************************* ** 5/5 150 MS Points Rewards- Nice home, lots of storage, spellmaking and enchanting, huge garden, alchemy lab, nice view, teleports to all mages guilds, bedroom, library, and astronach allies. The Wizards tower is Frostcrag Spire. It is east of Bruma and you can fast travel there immediately. Go up the steps and enter. There is a big room with an ice hand and a book. Read the book for a journal update and wait a second so a door will open. You can now explore the useless place. Leave and fast-travel the the Mystic Emporium in the Imperial City market district to start rebuilding. It only cost about 7-12 thousand gold which is better then the Vile Lair. It is a nice set and if you are a magic nut this is a must have. The set includes. Note- prices differ depending on the merchants disposition you your mercantile skill. Magantello Candles for alter of enchanting and Spellmaking 3-4,000 gold each- These simply make the alters usable. Without the candles they are worthless. Enchating makes non magic items magic using soul gems and spellmaking allows you to create spells. Location- Main room on top section. Library 2,000 gold- A massive library much bigger then the Vile Lair's study. It has 2 different sections and on the shelves are some useful items. Read the books or don't. Location- Walk into the main room and immediately turn left and right to see the library. Vault 2,000 gold- This is the place to store everything. There are chest, barrels, and pretty much all the space you need. Unless you have another house or The Vile Lair storage this is a good pickup. There are enough containers to organize things as well. Location- Teleport pad on the left of the main room. Bedroom 2,000 gold- Just a simple bed to wait or level up in. It also comes with a treasure chest to hold goodies. Not much here. Location- Teleport pad on the right in the main room. Alchemy Lab 2,000 gold- This is the greatness in the tower. It gives you novice retorts, apprentice and novice alembics, and apprentice and novice mortar and pestles. This combines great with the garden. But the real greatness is that when you stand near it, your alchemy skill raises by 15. Location- In the bedroom. Garden Free- This comes in the tower and boy is it useful. This is what puts the alchemy lab to use. This garden with 3 different levels, has over 100 more specimens then the Vile Lair. It also includes the plants in Oblivion gates. It is simply the most useful thing in any of the content I've downloaded besides The Thieves Den's plundering. And the fact that it is free is even better. It comes in the tower. Location- Upon entering the bedroom, turn right. Mages Guild teleports Free- If you can't find a mages guild in a certain city then come here. It has a port to every mages guild and the university. It is a one way trip. You go and you can't return to the Wizards tower without re- entering it. Location- Outside the large door in the Bedroom. The garden enough is good enough to buy this download. But garden or not it is great. Buy it and it will be a blast. Buy the rooms in this order. Alchemy Lab 2. Magatello Candles 3. Library ******************************************************************************* ** The Thieves Den ******************************************************************************* ** 4/5 150 MS Points Reward- Your own pirate crew, a lot of money The Thieves Den is Dunbarrow Cove. You go to search for the lost ship the black flag. Enter the cove south of Anvil and continue to go straight. Clear the skeletons in this bigger room then it is yours. Leave then fast travel to Anvil Dock Gate. Go out to the dock and go to the boat the pointer should be on. Talk to the captain to get 5 new employees for 1,000 gold each and upgrade the captains living area for 500 gold. It cost less then The Vile Lair and Wizards Tower and the living space isn't all that big. The real reason to get this is for plundering. Plundering is which your crew goes out for 1 week taking gold and other valuables then giving you a large share of gold. The amount depends on your level. It really is useful. This can only be done after you buy all the employees and the living space. After awhile other pirates will join your crew and they will plunder. The 5 employees are. Fence Fletcher Security Guard Spymaster Supplier The pirates also can train you at a cost and sell you items and spells. Plundering- The most useful thing in any download I have played yet. The pirates that joined your crew by will go and get gold for you. It takes one week and your share goes in the treasure chest at the foot of your bed. The only restriction is that your crew must rest 1 day before being sent out again. Talk to any of them, they usually hang out on the deck of the ship, and say go out and plunder. After a while the 5,500 gold you spent on the place seems like nothing as it pays for itself. This is what makes the quest meaningful. ******************************************************************************* ** Mehrunes Razor ******************************************************************************* ** 2/5 250 MS points Reward- Big bucks, magic dagger Honestly, some though this quest was good but I found it to be nothing but boring. Thankfully I got it free during a special offer but it isn't worth the MS points. It is a long and boring quest that sends you through Sundercliff Watch, the largest dungeon out there. You are trying to find an ancient dagger with the power to kill in one hit. Although this sounds great, the odds of it happening are very small. Like 1/50 slashes is a one-hit KO. If you have a lot and I mean a lot of patience, you can make big big bucks off all the enemies inside. You find to Beozars to open a door, then fight a boss battle, Drothan, the mage trying to get the razor. Loot his body and take his clothing. It is very powerful and rare, actually, I'm not sure it can be acquired without this quest. After Drothan you eat the statues heart (gross) or try to open the gate. Either way the statue attacks you. If you ate the heart its health constantly drains, if not just kill it. Should be easy enough. It is said that you can get a disease from eating it although I didn't get one. After you get the razor just store it away. It is worth almost nothing. Just enter ready. When I did the mission I sucked. I had no good weapons or armour and was a level 2. Be aleast a level 7 or a level where people are one mighty slash of your claymore. ******************************************************************************* ** Spell Tomes ******************************************************************************* ** 3/5 (1/5 If you don't like Oblivion's dungeons and mines) 80 MS Points Rewards: Some random loot occasionally thrown into dungeons, learning a few spells without having to pay game money. It basically scatters random tomes throughout the game's loot in dungeons, etc. If you find a tome, it will have a spell in it which you get to learn for free! I managed to get my hands on a Summon Xivilai Tome, so they can obviously have some good spells. One thing, though- your abilities to cast the spell and Magicka amount must allow for it to be used in order to use the spell. You can learn it, but if, for example you have a low Conjuration skill, you can't just summon the biggest, baddest creature in the game, even though you found the Tome for it. However, results will vary, since this is random loot, and most of the other Tomes contained some low level spells which I didn't need. The saving grace in it is that 1. It is cheaper than the other downloadable content, and 2. You can sell the Tomes after you learned the spell in them. Thanks- jdthegr8 for this contribution. This section (Spell Tomes) was emailed to me by him. If you would like to contribute to Knights of the Nine email me at [email protected]. ******************************************************************************* Horse Armor ******************************************************************************* 1/5 200 MP Reward- 2 good looking armor pieces for your horse It is a definite waste of money. The armor looks cool but is useless overall there are two types of armor, Elven and Steel. Elven is beautiful, but thats all it is. Steel looks really awesome, but that is all that is too. True, it does protect your horse, but seldom does your horse actually get attacked. When you start the game with the download, you get a message to go to the orc who runs the stable at the Imperial City. When you talk to her, she gives you the suit of armor for free, and then any armor after that is 500 gold. Thank you (SN Unknown will edit in) for this contribution. ******************************************************************************* ** Legal ******************************************************************************* ** This cannot be copied or called your own, although nobody would wanna call it there own because it is crap lol. You may print the guide although that is kinda pointless too. So far this is only approved for. And maybe If you see this on another site email me. ******************************************************************************* ** Cya ******************************************************************************* ** I know this is probably the worst guide you've ever used, this isn't a walkthrough for them all, mostly just to help you decide what you want. This is solely my opinion. You may hate the Wizards Tower and love Mehrunes Razor. Just have a good time with the downloads and if anybody can make a contribution for Horse Armor or Spell Tomes I'll mention your name here. Contributers jdthegr8 - Spell Tomes and location of Greywyn's cache's 1 and 2. (unknown SN will edit in later)- Horse Armor.
